Hello.

Seatwave charge £9.99 for delivery to the buyer but make the seller send the tickets via royalmail without passing the £9.99 on.

That doesn't seem right to me?

Anyone

Tickets must be sent special delivery if using RM.

Does it say anywhere in the t&cs that you have to pay additional postage yourself?

Edit: just read the terms and conditions and it doesn't say anything about you having to pay. It states they'll send UPS or an envelope for you to dispatch them in!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • they are telling me to post them recorded delivery.

i just looked at the user agreement and cant see anything about additional postage.

Your choice but if the tickets are worth more than £60 then send them registered as you're only covered for £60 with recorded

Only up to £50 these days:
    What compensation cover is provided?
Royal Mail Signed For™ items are covered against loss or damage up to the sum of £50 or the value of the item, whichever is lower.

    Edited to add:

OP, have you seen this line in Seatwave's User Agreement?
You will not be paid if you fail to provide a shipping tracking number.
(and it is bold in the agreement).

Note that Royal Mail's Recorded Delivery service, or as it is now called Signed For™, does not provide tracking.

Oh, I now see you have just edited the original post.
Are you no longer interested in the despatch method pros and cons?
