  • Golden rule is avoid any house where the parked-up cars stay all day = unwaged.

There are cars parked up all day where I live because the majority of people are elderly and retired :rotfl:

Guess it depends if you are moving to an 'up and coming' area or the costa geriatrica where I live which has barely any problems at all thank goodness.

My buyers came about 7x .... a right royal nuisance that was .... especially as I was scared each time they'd spot something they'd not seen before and change their mind......

7 is taking the pee. They just wanted another look as they were excited, it wasn't for any particular/important reason ... just excitement.

Trust me ... I wasn't ferkin excited... slapped that smile on though :)

But you should be excited to buy a new house! What's wrong with that?? I agree 7 visits does sound rather a lot, but over what time frame? I would be a bit surprised if buyers didn't want to come a few times - it is a lot of money and there are things to check out.

  • Haha, I won't be visiting 7 times. I spent an hour there on my first two visits, so they weren't just a fleeting glimpse of the property. But as always there is something you miss so I'd love to go back a third time and of course take my mum. Given it's Christmas I'll wait for the festive season to end and then I'll sort out another visit as contracts won't be exchanged just yet. The survey was only done today and my solicitor said she won't start searches until the post calms down after Christmas.

I'm very excited about all this, can't wait to go back and have another look.

Oh and I've done all the visiting the street at different times of day, week and weekends etc prior to making an offer.
  • what exactly should you be looking for on a 2nd visit as im planning a 2nd visit
