Would it be similar to a job interview for a coffee shop ? I had one for that and that was kind of horrible

How was that horrible? It really depends on the experience and personality of your interviewer...

I remember the first time I interviewed someone, I was a bag of nerves, probably worse than them! What must they have thought haha...

Just because it still included things about my strengths and stuff. And not really sure how to handle informal interviews or prepare for them

Yeah, and my advisor has said she will help when interviews come up. Jave an interview in January which we have arranged an appt for 3rd to do interview skills

Problem is, if this job want to interview me advisor has said it will be next Monday. I am going in my provider tomorrow to do jobsearch, is it worth asking my advisor for advice on an informal interview tomorrow ? Or would it seem pretty daft as they are prob simple

They cant give you help as and when you get interviews!

They need to give advise BEFORE and should have by now.

I cant tell you what to ask them but you sound like you need help as you have said before you do

I don't know if you've had any informal chat kind of things for jobs before, but am I right in thinking even though its informal you still kind of have to sell yourself and show what you can give to the company ? Even if it is just making sandwiches and that ?

I don't know who the company is, just been told its helping make sandwiches etc. Can't really relate my customer service experience or admin experience to that. Have made a sandwich at home but thats about it haha

No never anything informal and have no idea why a company has informal interviews.

Me neither, most informal interview I had was Sports Direct or the coffee shop but they still asked interview style questions

Reading on internet some people have said they went for informal chats that were still kind of proper interviews, just in a more relaxed setting.

Do you think even though I don't have a guaranteed interview on Monday yet that I should ask my advisor tomorrow for some advice on preparation for an informal chat/interview ?

Yes and I Can not work out why you have not insisted in this or made a complaint by now.

Will do. It seems aa though because I've been told it will be an informal chat kind of thing that preparation isn't as important

But I'm assuming you still have to sell yourself even if it is informal
