I could look for temporary work but there will be training courses and home study with a social worker for fostering to attend during the day also. I also have an 8yr old who will know noone and has suffered more loss this year than a child should ever have to cope with so am unwilling to leave him in child care before & after school and during the holidays.
I thought the period between placements was 2 weeks but have been told it may be up to 8 weeks, so really need reliable confirmation on which it is.
Thanks again

Don't mean to sound harsh but do you think fostering is a good idea at this time, do you think your own child should be sharing you with another kid?0 -

I still think the point I made earlier is relevant as to whether the OP will actually be looking for a job. You make it sound as if it's just a question of changing between IS and JSA as and when.0 -
Of course its not a just a question of changing between JSA and I.S as and when. If the OP changes areas she will have to claim JSA whilst waiting for her application to foster in the new area to go through
If on JSA, then the OP the would have to look for a job to meet the condition of entitlement..0
