Can Loss Adjuster overturn Police Evidence?

    Gaz......that being the case then the Adjuster is in no position to challenge:


    - he never saw the door himself so only has the police opinion to go by


    - a report from the police, even if has been edited since its first draft, would be considered as 'reliable' evidence by your Insurers. There's no way they will back the Adjuster here. If they do it might be because the Adjuster is reporting in to a young, inexperienced or incompetent claims handler. So just complain and it will be escalated to someone else.


    My only hesitation is whether there is a possibility that when you reported the claim that you told them that you had left the door open/unlocked. If that were the case (is it ?) I could understand the Adjusters ongoing concerns.
