    Your 1st post said your going to format the hard drive. I was curious as to whether you had a windows disc or a restore option.

    Seen so many computers fail to start because of some inbuilt MS driver that the computer didnt like.

    You should only update the BIOS if you have issues. Updating a working system can turn it into a non working one.

    I use a RAID setup so updating the BIOS is a big no. Some updates in the past have not been able to read the data afterwards.
