Well done you! Great to see the strike through Argos and well done on tackling Littlewoods. You're rocking!
Fabulous news Steph and I have every confidence that despite the increase in your payment to Littlewoods you'll get that Barclaycard knocked down no problem!

    Have a lovely weekend.

Thanks Mizmir and Chrysalis. Felt like it was abit of a setback with Littlewoods but guess I should'nt worry as one way or another it is all money going towards the debt.

    Morning,

    Just a quick weekend update.

Got paid £60 from the shop which stocks my crafts, and withdrew £11 from Paypal from some ebay sales. Totalling £71

I decided to be impulsive in the RIGHT way and immediately paid £80 against my new target= Barclayc#rd.

Total down to £718 now. I have my normal snowballed payment yet to do that will be £192. Then I have lots of fleabay items finishing today and next week so will immediately pay any money from that against the card also.

I am feeling abit more of a panic with this card because it still has quite high interest on it. I wasn't able to negotiate anything as its in hubby name. I didn't panic too much because its a small debt I can kill off quickly.

    I mean business now :D.

Wow I have just watched this Youtube video of Dave Ramsey.

    Breaking the chains of Debt

I have never been overly religious but this man speaks so much sense. I actually got abit upset watching it, he is so inspirational, I think I might make a habit of watching other videos from him to keep me inspired.

Certainly worth a watch if you have time.

That was excellent Steph, thanks for posting the link :T

He uses some Stephen Covey NLP in there - the picture with the 2 faces or the white ornament. Great for changing the way we think and look at things. (Author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The 8th Habit).

I'm definitely going to watch some more too. Especially that long stretch between payments being made to debt and pay day. I always seem to get a lull and need something to fill that gap.

And a big well done on the payments to B'card - what a great start to March :T:T

    Hi Ali

You are right about picking out some of these Youtube clips from inspirational speaker during the longer gaps between payment. It will really help keep us going.

    Hi Buffy

Glad it wasn't just me that got emotional, it was maybe abit over-indulgent of me to have a few moments of a personal pity party, but it just hit a real nerve with me.

Yes you are right, my cogs were also turning. Certainly helps to cement the resolve to beat the debt.
