Morning Steph i'm just catching up now i'm on the laptop, well done for getting hubby on board :T I think that was our turning point in getting debt-free once i'd shown my DH the spreadsheets, what we had, what needed to be paid etc and although he tried to resist at first " I can do better" when I called his bluff, handed him the laptop with spreadsheets open and told him to cut what he thought he could so he had more "spending money" he soon handed it back (albeit he sat there for a few hours before caving in) and mumbled an apology and let me get on with it. And ever since then he's been helpful and careful in his spends :T
I hope you manage to do the same! Imagine all that spare money you could have for holidays, new school shoes when you need it, and savings pots

Hi Steph,
Hope everything is OK with you all and that you have been managing to get the polytunnel sorted. It is wet here this morning, but we have had quite a lot of sunshine and dry spells this week.
Need a quick look at the bank account and write shopping list before I go into town. It is my Ma's birthday on Monday and I don't have a clue what to get for her:(. Being the mother of 5, grandma of 7 and greatgran of 4 as well as an Aunt, although she leads a fairly non consumerish life she ends up with masses of birthday and christmas pressies and it gets harder each year. Garden or the more expensive bird feeding stuff I think as she gets a fab selection of bird visitors in her garden and loves watching them:):)

Hi all.
Sorry been abit absent this week. Been so busy making the most of the sunshine and also spent most of yesterday at the school with the children getting the Orchard planted.
All done now. I have done my bit for the school, hopefully I won't be in their list for favours anytime soon after what I did this week
.
Take a look at my signature. I just paid off Arg#s :T:j:T.
I rang them up to pay it as wanted to ask about what I need to do to close the account. Apparently I don't need to write a letter just ring them back Monday when the payment will have been totally processed and they can do it over the phone. Have written that in my diary. It was a slightly larger payment than I thought of £222.91 but I paid it and will juggle the overspend in YNAB somehow. I was just desperate to get it finished.
Also need to call Barcl#ys on Monday still not totally sorted with my missing £100. Santand#r did the trace for it and sent me a letter saying that Barcl#ys has accepted the payment. So now waiting till Monday to check it has been found and credited against my Overdraft. I will most certainly be double treble checking my online payments from now on, I never imagined how much hassle can come from getting one tiny digit wrong:eek:
Got to concentrate on my next debt now. Barclayc#rd.
That is slightly larger at £798, but not too bad.
My usual payment to them is £80, snowball my Arg#s payment of £50, then I should be paying a minimum of £130 in March against it. Not really a big enough payment as it would still take 5.1/2 months to get rid of it. Too long.
So will be selling on fleabay and making crafts as much as possible to bump up that monthly payment.
Have been asked to sell some crafts at a fair on the 29th March and I also need to re-stock my shelf in the shop in Weymouth, so I need to get my act together. Trouble is with these sunny days I keep going outside
.
Hope all is going well with you guys. Promise to catch up over the weekend.

Thank you so much Kim, Puzzcat, DFW and MM. Feels good to have swiped one off the loooooong list.

I finally took the plunge and called Littlewoods this afternoon. I had'nt called them as I had a vague idea that I could keep on paying £125 per month and they would be happy. But I got a Final Notice letter from them yesterday asking for an £865 payment . This obviousley cannot happen so bit the bullet and called their arrears number.
They were very kind, and even though they could not accept the £125 per month and we came to an agreement of £184. I can manage this but it just stretches my ability of paying tonnes towards Barclayc#rd.
I am slightly tempted to prioritise Littlewo#ds first now as they want such a high payment, but I am adding new items onto Fleabay all the time. I added three more today and have a basket of other bits that need photographing, so I am going to stick with my original order. Have re-done my snowball calculator and can still make substantial payments against Barclaycard so will keep going.
At least I won't have a debt collector from Littlew#ods on my doorstep
.
Thanks again for kind words xx0 -
Well done you! Great to see the strike through Argos and well done on tackling Littlewoods. You're rocking!0

Fabulous news Steph and I have every confidence that despite the increase in your payment to Littlewoods you'll get that Barclaycard knocked down no problem!
Have a lovely weekend.
