:j Excellent news! Seeing PLUS figures must be such a massive excitement - I can't remember the last time I was in the black in my account. Very happy to hear you have surplus in your account too. I think leaving it as a buffer is a good idea just for a couple weeks until you know all payments have been cleared. Hopefully some of it will be left so you can properly budget it in YNAB!
Happy days! Enjoy the rest of it0 -
Steph I've followed you on FB. Had a quick look, your stuff is lovely, but the first thing I saw seemed quite underpriced! Don't sell yourself short, remember your time costs money too.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37
AFD March 2/15 NSD March 2/11 :T
Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,0050 -
Thanks guys for all the encouragement.:)
I did a little forecast on YNAB till the end of February. Eeeeek its very tight. I think I paid all the bills with about £5 to spare .
Think I need to get my head down with my crafts to try to bring in some extra pennies. All abit more tight than I would like it to be. xxxx
but I guess at least everything is getting paid, which is more than I can say for last year0 -
Steph, I've just had a quick nosey at your FB page (and liked it!). Your stuff is gorgeous.. talented lady! x0

Hi guys
Thanks for the kind words about my creations. I find it REALLY hard to price my things. I try to find the middle ground between too cheap that I make nothing to so expensive than no one buys anything.
If it was just a hobby and I did'nt desperatly need sales I would probably charge twice what I do now, but I am mainly doing this to help pay the debts so I try to make sure that I make about 20-30% over what the materials cost.
Its a tricky one. Thanks so much for looking xxxxx
If you are on FB, a Like or a share would be fab thank you. (v cheeky sorry) xxx0 -
I also thought a few of your things were underpriced, such as the lovely door stops. I've seen these in the r@nge, dun3lm etc and they are mass produced and sell for a similar price as yours. You have to remember yours are mainly one offs so you should price them accordingly
and I reckon you could definitely put a few quid more on without putting anyone off! xx

Thanks DFW,
I do make a slightly larger one that I charge £10.50 for, and I do think that is a better price to reflect the amount of work that goes into it.
Thanks for looking. xxx0 -
I agree with DFW - you could definitely stick a good few quid on some of your prices and nobody would be put off! Your stuff is so lovely, you need to reflect the quality in your prices. Don't undervalue yourself! x0

Hi
just looked at your face book page your work is excellent and too cheap
you really need to be aiming on doubling up on your material costs ie if they cost £5 charge at least £10 because eventually the orders will take up all your time and become a job
People will pay for well made individual items they don't always want them to be cheap if the are a present for some one Good Luck0
