I am trying to find a laptop for my son for Xmas. The two I am looking at both have Intel Core i5 processors in them. One has the i5-4200U and the other has i5-3210M. Please could someone provide some advice on which one of these is better.

The i5-3210M gives a higher performance than the i5-4200U.0

only thing the i5-4200U has going for it, less power, so battery life would be better depending on how many cells the laptop has of courseMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

And has Intel 4400 graphics, so you if did want to play the odd game, chances are you'll get 10-15% better performance than a 4000hd in the M series. The 4400 on a surface pro 2 will even run battlefield 4, no chance of doing that on a 4000.
Being a laptop, the better battery life would be the reason why I would choose the 4200U alone.0 -
