income support / job seekers

Have a friend who applied for job seekers allowance. told not entitled. Has been made bankrupt without their knowledge. Everything blocked, no income staying with daughter. Help?

  • Why was he not entitled? There are reasons which would block him from JSA for many reasons. How did he leave his job?

    Spent number of years looking after aged parents as a carer. Last parent died 2012 Then Was hospitalised march 2013.

    So probably not entitled to contributory JSA but should qualify for income-related if no other money coming in...
