Hi there
has anyone been up the Shard in London?
My friend wants to go to the bar there, are the drinks in the bar mega expensive? Any MSE's got any tips or insight, thanks x

Never been but can imagine a glass of wine being about £6 or more. London is expensive for booze in bars anyway.0

Cheapest wine by the glass - £7.50
Bottles from £22.00
Cocktails from £12.50
Looks like you're out of luck if you want a beer, coke or appletise....

go to tower 42 the old natwest building instead, wait until you see a deal on amazon local or wowcher and get a platter and champagne for two for around £30 or i have also seen deals for afternoon tea.

I've been to the bars in the Shard many a time and it's great fun - I definitely haven't paid £7.50 for a glass of wine though, more around the £5/£6 mark. There'll be another one opening pretty soon in the Shangri La section (which will be roughly 20 floors above the ones open atm), so even more choice of where to go. I'd recommend it.
In fact, just had a quick look at the menu linked above and it looks as though the cheapest wine is £4.50 by the glass. Bargain!0
