Some advice needed with faulty out of warranty TV

A purchased a fairly expensive TV from Comet in December 2011 which has developed a fault. I believe I could have normally used the Sale Of Goods Act to rectify this but since Comet no longer exists I don't believe that is an option. It was purchased on credit card and I have read about Section 75 but I'm not sure whether it applies in this case. The manufacturer (Samsung) doesn't want to know since it is outside of their 1 year warranty.
Is there anything I can do to get it fixed, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The Credit Card co. will be jointly liable with the retailer (who no longer exist) so the same rules apply re. SOGA. You need to get an independent report showing that the fault is inherent to manufacture.
