You did use your popla reference number both in the subject line and in the body of the email didn't you? And you have asked them to acknowledge the additional information to your appeal? If you haven't send it again with that included.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Whilst I (and other regulars) would love to see POPLA forced into having to adjudicate that single Eq Act appeal point, I suspect you want this bringing to as swift and as predictable a conclusion as possible. If that's the case, then hoohoo's advice is the one to follow.

As you probably know, Umkomaas, there is a POPLA appeal in on that basis right now, pointing out to POPLA that they are service providers too, so are also bound by their duties under the EA. It's all gone quiet so I can't call it, in some ways I think they will have to accept it but in other ways when I emailed Richard Reeve at POPLA with a generic list of some clear concerns, he dismissed me as a 'blogger'!

Sod 'em, let someone sue them then, I tried. Don't say I didn't warn you, POPLA!

It needs a disabled family like this OP to actually sue POPLA/the PPC and the owner/occupier/retailer for damages for distress and Equality Act breach, for anything to change I suspect.

As POPLA are a London councils local government organisation they are belly up exposed to the Equality act, they should be good for a few quid if they refuse to act upon it as well.
As a Local Government service provider they are charter bound by the equalities act.
Will they forget who they work for now ?
In parking scamming land I would say yes, fill yer boots.
    Be happy...;)
  • I have received confirmation from Popla that the info from hoohoo as been added to the file, once again thanks to everyone.
  • Received confirmation that my appeal will be heard by the 5th of February
  • I emailed Asda and they phoned me today and said if I was in their car park which Smart patrol they would get the ticket stopped.
As I was parked in the retail part which is patrolled by new management parking they couldn't do anything about it.
I have emailed the CEO of Costa's and have not received anything yet.
I thought that all the retail park was patrolled by one parking company but that dosen't seem to be the case.

Never mind, your POPLA appeal has now been clawed back from the jaws of defeat with the right appeal words added.
