Major Problem with Scottish Power.
Options
Any help with this one would be much appreciated.
Have been in this house since 2000 and with Scottish Power all that time on a dual fuel deal.
A few years ago I did make an effort to move to a better deal with British Gas, but it all fell through as they weren't able to take on my meter - an economy 7 as far as I have ever been aware, so I stayed with SP.
Recently went through the Energy Club and decided to shift to two different suppliers to get a better deal. All seemed to go ahead, fine.
Got a call from Scottish Power and was offered an even better deal to 'come back'!! ( strange that I had to leave to be offerecd a better deal!!) - so I said OK.
All again seemed to be going fine, I got requests for a meter reading and when I tried to enter readings on site was surpised to see that the Gas element was showing as cancelled.
So I rang SP customer Services to enquire, to be told it was worse than that ...... Scottish Power - who up until a month ago had been very happy taking my money for 13 years told me that they were unable to proceed with the transfer as they could not accept my 'incompatible' electricity meter!!!!
The poor woman in CustomerServices was as confused and unable to understand it either - and has elevated it to a full complaint - I am still waiting to hear and in the meantime wondered if there was any advice please?!!
