Parking Eye

Hi guys!

Just thought I'd raise a question as a last resort. I've got a parking fine for £ 70, which is brought down to £ 40 if I pay today, from Parking Eye Ltd. I have read everywhere that I can ignore this and they shooooould go away, but does anyone know if this information is up to date? The posts I read were pretty old.

There were cameras which we were told about while we were there, but we didn't even see them or the notice when we went in the car park until we left. We had 1hr 30 to get out but we were actually in there for 3hr 45 mins.

This was in an Aldi car park in Colchester. Does anyone know where I stand on this legally or have any advice on whether I should pay this or not?

Thanks!

Richard
