Afternoon tea in warwickshire

I am looking to buy my mum a gift along these lines to say thank you for helping out with my daughters while I have been in hospital for a month. Does anyone know of anywhere good within the price range of up to a max of £40? Or anything similar? She is not a spa type of person and never treats herself to anything so thought this would be a good gift for her and my stepdad.

I have found coombe abbey as an option, just wondered if anyone knew of any other suggestions or had experienced anywhere that was particularly good and that they would recommend?

I booked through this site when I needed to book something in the summer. got a bargain 2 for 1 so we could push the boat out a little further.

Walton Hall, near Wellesbourne does a gorgeous afternoon tea in a stately home setting.

(A family member works there, so must admit to some bias)
    I don't know much, but I know I love you ....<3
  • I thoroughly recommend Coombe Abbey :)
  • Coombe Abbey is really good, or it you go just over the border, Fawsley Hall is also excellent.

I stayed in Coombe Abbey a couple of years ago for work and it was a lovely place, it'd be a really nice place to have afternoon tea.

Coombe Abbey afternoon tea is about £18 per person. You need to book though!

I'm going in jan can't wait!

There is a really lovely cafe in Leamington called Vinteas behind the Royal Priors - all done out vintage style proper tea leaves in pots with strainers and amazing cakes! probably a tiny bit dearer than an ordinary cafe but really really lovely!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Another vote for Coombe Abbey - as you're going for afternoon tea you get free parking so you can go for a walk round the Country Park after.

Friend recently went to Vinteas in Leamington and loved it.

Certain that you could find some lovely places in Stratford
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • I didn't know parking was free if you have afternoon tea. Otherwise it is about £3.60.

Having sampled Afternoon Tea at both Coombe Abbey and Fawsley Hall I would recommend Coombe Abbey as the better 'tea'.

Fawsley Hall has a wonderful main hall to sit in but we were in armchairs and not sat at a table so it wasn't so comfortable to eat, the food also wasn't quite as good.

Both would make a nice present though. Depending on where you are in Warwickshire you might also want to consider Kilworth House, tea in the Orangery is lovely.
