Faulty Blinds

Hi all,
After a bit of advise. In july we ordered and had fitted a set of vertical blind lovely job and very happy ect, however this last month the blinds wont close all the way and seem to be sticking.
I gave the company a ring to day to ask about someone coming to look at the blinds.
when I did the women on the phone told me to call back after the Christmas period.
As I looked at my receipt these were fitted on 25th july so on 25th dec it will be 6 months not sure if there is a 6 month limit on these things ect for repairs.
any way should I email the company so that there is a record of my repair needing done or leave it till after Christmas.
