What to do if legal letter arrives?

Hi All,
I got a parking fine in september because the place I parked had run out of parking tickets so they wrote me out one. The parking warden (A S Parking) didn't know they had had to use different tickets so he issued my car with a fine. I went to the owners of the parking area immediately and they said they would contact the parking firm and it shouldn't be a problem. Now I have received a letter from "Debt Recovery Plus LTD" saying the matter has been referred to them and that I have to pay or that they will recommend A S Parking's solicitors to take court action.
What should I do?
Many thanks,
Richard

Take a look here at what the chances are that AS Parking (aka Athens Security Services) will take you to court.

What do you reckon? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
