Just Seen This Behind My Barclaycard Statement! I Didnt Know There Was A Barclaycard Black! Is It Like The Amex Black?

I have searched the web and Barclaycard website for this to no avail. What does it actually say behind your statment . I havn't heard of this card before - maybe it is something they intend to introduce for existing customers? Maybe give them a call and ask? Would be interested to know

I used to work at Barclaycard - the black card is exclusive - it's like a charge card with no theoretical limit.... however, you only get invited to join (like the amex black) and be a member. Hence why it's not mentioned much (probably due to b/card trying to keep it as a prestige card).

Halifax have a version it's called a CARBON Card. Minimum requirement £70,000 p.a. salary. Fee £175 p.a.

i see! what there a salary limit for this? Or is it the same as AMEX. ( IF SHOW LOYALITY then you will get it?? is it a credit card then?? wonder what the apr is?? 1.9% lol.

Looks like it's been around awhile, can't find he actual acrticle in the FT, but this is from 2002, looks like it relates to Black cards in the UK!!
