posting on mse with google chrome

i have just started using google chrome
when i wish to type say in bold i get this either side of my text rather than see the text in bold

only when i preview do i see the text in bold without the

i find all the stuff in brackets very annoying especially if changing font size and colors is there any way i can view my text as it would be seen without all the bracket stuff

WYSISWYG editor does not work with chrome. At least not on any version I have ever tried. Used to be a chrome extension to fix that, but not sure it works with recent versions.

Reason is that the makers of the forum software (vBulletin) haven't coded for chrome to work with the WYSIWYG editor, or it is incompatible with what they have.

If you want it, use Firefox. That works.
