Faulty tv from Currys and damaged on repair

ok......

bought a 42" LG TV from Currys in August this year, it kept switching itself off we were told by the store it was energy saving. they eventually admitted it was faulty and took it away to repair it.

It had to have a new circuit board. It was meant to be delivered back to us a week later, nearly 4 weeks later and 5 failed delivery attempts (because they couldnt follow simple instructions)
the TV came back.............. damaged!!

It had been scratched, even the guy in the store said it looked like a screw driver had scratched it when they took the back off to replace the circuit board.

He said he would send it off to be repaired AGAIN!!

They have refused to replace it or refund us until the repair it AGAIN!!

the customer service i have received is shocking ive tried to complain 4 times each time i get fobbed off!!

Am i within my rights to refuse the TV and demand a refund??

I dont want a TV that cost alot of money, is less than 6 mnths old that was faulty and then damaged!

How long between purchase and you notifying them of the fault?

Did you leave it in the store? Or did you take it into the store the second time?

If you could reply with the details of exactly when you informed them of the fault, when it was collected, when it was repaired(or the dates of the delivery attempts) and then when you informed them of the scratch and when it was collected/left.
