How do I find out if my Windows XP is 32 bit?

I've looked at System Properties and it says:

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

I'm looking for a new printer and a couple I've seen say System Requirements Windows XP SP3 (32bit). So I'm assuming SP3 = Service Pack 3. Where do I find out if it's 32bit?

If your computer is running Windows XP, do the following:

    Click Start.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

If you don't see "x64 Edition" listed, then you're running the 32-bit version of Windows XP.

If "x64 Edition" is listed under System, you're running the 64-bit version of Windows XP

As an aside the printer should work regardless of whether your system is 32- or 64-bit. If it specified 64-bit was required then the same wouldn't be true.

There were no 64bit editions of WinXP Home ever released by Microsoft.

That's interesting. I wonder why the System Requirements of those printers mention 32bit then if there's no alternative. Probably just to confuse people like me :rotfl: .

There was a 64bit edition of "XP Professional" though - so that is why its mentioned.
It was just the Home edition that never had the 64bit release (?not sure about the media edition?)
I guess the system requirement listed were just covering themselves for all the editions of XP.
