  • children's home. They don't get any presents.

Also there's usually appeals in supermarkets and boxes to drop them into
  • Lovely thought. You have had some really good ideas. Surestart also help young parents who may be struggling.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas.
  • What a lovely thing you are doing.
You could try contacting your local social services, or as others have suggested the food bank (most are run by the Trussel Trust I think). Your local school may also be able to help.

I hope you find some very needy children to make very happy this Christmas. Have a lovely Christmas yourself.

Quick update to close this one off, I ended up donating the gifts to the local womans refuge (got a girl friend of mine to come with me so i didn't look odd!) and they were most greatful.
I also did a bit of christmas shopping for the local food bank as well.

Happy new year to you all.
Finally The Rock has come back to MSE....

Aww I have just saw this thread now. What a lovely gesture you made. I know that our local Westfield Centre (Belfast Castle Court) Have a tree in the middle of the floor with gift tags on the branches. I always make a point of choosing 6 every year. 3 boys and 3 girls that range from 1 year olds to 18 year olds and buy a gift for them. We then just leave them back with the CS desk beside the tree and they are always appreciate it. I also like to buy some selection boxes or pick up things that are on sale throughout the year from baby toys, to nail polishes and lynx sets for older children, and hand those in also with my gifts so they have extra, as I don't know what happens to any children that are not chosen from the tree :(
