Hi
I can't get the updated pages on my website, using my PC. I know the updates are there because I can view them on my laptop.
I have cleared the temp internet files, cookies, history, browser cache, hit F5, Alt F5, anything I can think of. It used to work when I wanted to update the MSE pages (ie when Martin's pic changed) but not with my website. How can I get it to work please? (Answers in 1 sylable or fewer please
)
I run XP with SP2 and use AOL.
Thanks

You should see the chage straight away but have you made sure you aren't using a proxy that may be holding an old page?0

Since you've cleared temp internet files it's unlikely to be the problem I guess, but (assuming you're using IE) go to Internet Options (General tab) and click on the Browsing history 'Settings' button, then check out your 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' setting.Stompa0

Thanks for your replies so far :T
How weird!!
I use aol's browser, so hadn't thought to check IE, on which I have my site set as the homepage. Going via IE I have the new page, but AOL still shows me the old page
I've checked and cleared the AOL browser cache but still no joy. I know you lot all hate AOL but I don't, so has anyone any ideas now?0 -

Use this to remove all traces of AOL from your system, you just don't need it.
:rolleyes::doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Hello,
When pressing F5 or refresh should refrsh the page, normally it looks in the local copy in temp internet files so u were right to clear that.
There is a trick to force it to refresh from the actual site instead of the local copy, not sure if this also froces the proxy to get a new copy. Here is it:
http://www.yahoo.co.uk/?=22
Thats just an example, all you need to do is add /? and some numbers after the domain name, it also works with the individual page:
http://www.yahoo.co.uk/whatever.php?=311"Not setting your clock forward and arriving an hour late to work is no excuse" The Boss' words - not mine!0
