Mighty Deals appalling service...

I have emailed them several times now asking for a refund for a purchase I made on the 23rd December on mightydeals.co.uk and have not yet received a response.
I was amazed to see that my requests have "been deemed solved Jan 15 " and another solved on 3rd January without me actually receiving any email response to my request or receiving a refund.
In my opinion this amounts to theft - they have taken my money and are refusing to give me the refund they advertise that they offer let alone are legally required to provided through the distance selling regulations.
I see a company director has replied to someone on this thread - hopefully I will be "lucky" enough to receive a reply..!!0 -
I had an amazingly fast response from Neil Campbell director of Mighty Deals yesterday saying they are dealing with my refund for £235.00. I never even got the confirmation or the voucher in the first place just a large withdrawal from my bank. Not sure I believe it. I wonder how much their call charges are since I have spent hours trying to get through on the phone plus sent numerous emails before I came across Neil Campbell's name on this site. They have now had my money since 30/12/13. Money for nothing they are getting interest on all of this money. But like others I will take the legal course if I have to.0

Say they earn 1%pa on it.
For £235.00, that's £2.35 interest if they keep it for a whole year.
As they have had your money for less that three weeks, around one seventeenth of a year, that amounts to less that fifteen pence interest.0 -

I'm glad someone can eventually get a good outcome from this company. I've been trying to get a refund of £80 and no one cares. I'm at my wits end. Can't afford to lose this money. What's my next step. Citizens advice or trading standards.0 -

I ordered a Android Tablet from mightydeals in October too. I redeemed the voucher immediately and awaited the delivery. When the item was delivered by Royal Mail on opening the box I noticed that something wasnt quite right with it.... in fact it didnt have an on/off button. Immediately got on phone to mightydeals and after a lengthy wait on the phone I spoke to someone who advised that I needed to return the item at my expense and once they received it I would get a new one sent out.... But guess what.... to date I havent received the replacement.
The whole point of buying a deal was to give as a gift to a family member. I have emailed mightydeals several times and had the message that they are sorry to hear of the problem and would rectify this matter immediately. In fact a few emails state that it has been esculated to a member of the management team to address. I have also tried calling them and spent over 1 hour at a time on the phone to hear the message 'Thank you for calling, please wait whilst we transfer you to the next available agent' but not had much luck.
I just want them to tell me when I can expect this item or offer me a full refund including my postage costs for the initial faulty item and the returning of it.
I know one thing.... I wont order from them again!!!0 -
They must refund you the returns cost, based on what you say. (It was a fault return, not a change of mind return).0

I also have purchased a tablet before Christmas
And am still waiting for it I have phone numerous
Times and been shrugged off by their incompetent staff
I have email numerous times and nothing has been done
And sometimes no answer I phoned today and was told a
Manager would call me back within the hour that was
2 1/2 hours ago and nothing I also am on hold at the mo for 1hour so far
Does anyone actually work there or know what they r doing what a rubbish company0 -
It looks like the Mighty may have fallen. Their phone lines aren't being answered, which will come as no surprise, but they have also removed contact details.
Although I have reported their behaviour to Trading Standards, I would be happy to see them removed altogether before the complaint reaches a conclusion.0
