My argos store huffed and puffed a bit until I mentioned that the reservation was not my wrong doing but argos and that they offering to sell it to me on the website for £3.28 so it's not my fault.
After mgr agreeing to sell product for £3.28 surprise surprise they couldn't finf them out back!!! Explained that they have kept me waiting over 40mins for items so the offered me home delivery free of charge! yippee
So not only did I get 2 robots for £3.28 they are being delivered to me on Tuesday free of charge - oh and they gave me a free packet of batteries for the delay. If Tescos and Asda are lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet? :rotfl:0 -
I went to pick mine up today with the printed reservation and price confirmation and they just refused to sell them to me...
I'm afraid it seems pot luck if they honor the deal or not.
Each store has access to their website, thus they can view the offer for themselves.
When i first got refused i quoted that this is false advertising and took the managers name and said i would be quoting his name to trading standards.
He then offered, as a gogw, buy 3 get 1 free - which of course i declined.
Tried another store today and got the offer no problem.
The thing to remember with this offer is that it is an error - but Argos have failed to rectify it - the tills require a manual override to get the price correct, and I would guess that with a price override the difference would go against their waste budget - hence the reluctancy to honor it.0 -

Im not sure to be honest.
In my earlier post i did question if this thread should be placed in the Argos sub-section.
Perhaps a mod can move it there, where you're more likely to get an answer0 -
Went to pick mine up today and they were having none of it, eventhought i got em to have a look on the website the manager said I had to buy the roboreptile aswell to get the discount0

If anyone can get to Solihull Sears Retail Park by the end of today I have two reserved on reservation number 020958 (you could also try reserving them after this lapses). Sadly I cant get there and its a waste of time sending hubby as he would probably end up more than the full price!
If it helps this store amended the price when there was a glitch on the playskool 'pound n cheese'.0 -

Bah humbug! I managed to fight the acting manager down to £3.82 each, she was now having any of the special offer, kept saying that the price was not reserved...
Still I can't complain, I think they look very good presents for birthday parties! I love to look the generous mum, when in fact, I probably spent the least!:D0
