What is and isn't tax deductible?

Can a limited company claim for:
Buying drinks/food for staff Christmas party
Buying small gifts for clients
Buying small gifts for freelance staff as a Christmas "bonus"
From what I can gather none of these are tax deductible but doesn't quite seem right to me?

Christmas party costs (or indeed annual event - doesn't have to be Christmas, but often is) are ok, see:
