Hi,
Im in he process of purchasing insurance for two of my laptops. However, I do not know whether or not I put the full retail value that the stores normally sell the items for - as I got one laptop on student discount and the other on 10% discount. Both laptops have had substantial savings, one clos to £500 and the other was a probably ~£150. I have receipts for both (neither show the original retail value with applied discount, they just show the final discounted price).
I don't mind paying the extra premium for putting the origianl retail prices, but I dont want to pay extra if there is no benefit (plus my receipts dont show the original retail price, only discounted price).
My worry is, if I put the discounted purchase price and I break either laptop, the insurance won't pay out for the same spec'd laptop.
What has everyone else done when insuring student gadgets which they got on student discount?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Icey370

Just to update everyone, I spoke to Endsleigh and they informed me that specifying the student discount was fine.0
