Thanks for the ideas, it's given me a starting point. This sounds really silly, but when you go to a party for smaller kids are the parents expected to stay with them or can they just pick them up later?
Because you dont know the parents and your little one might be a bit overwhelmed, stay with her at the party.
usually by year 1, when the kids were 5 or 6, they were happy to be left and then collected at the end of the party by their parent or guardian.0 -

are you friendly with any of the other mums n dads going the party perhaps arrange to meet them there?
i normaly end up chating to few of the mums n dadsbetween trying to juggle a balloon party food drink kid needing the toilet oh and our coats shoes and any thing eles my dd can get her hand on
