Why bother? If they don't like it they don't like it,it's not the same as refusing to eat fruit and veg!

Find something quick that they do like.

Will they eat cheese on toast? Maybe cheese on toast with tomato paste?

I think I would just think of something else, tbh. It sounds to me that they don't like tomatoes or cheese cooked that way.

A friend of mine loves strawberry flavour or raspberry but hates them as them come because of the bits.

I don't like omelettes but like fried eggs, I don't like fruit and nut chocolate or peanut butter but like peanuts, butter and chocolate.

My daughter (7) hates pizza too - she has been consistant with that since the age of 1 though, unlike some of her other "hates". She doesn't like cheese though unless it's in mash (which she doesn't know about) or in the form of a cheesecake :p

She's not a huge fan of overly saucy things too, she'd rather eat falafels or chilli 100X over than a pizza or sausage roll. At school she tries a bigger variety though, apparently theres tastes "different" *rolls eyes*
  • Try making your own with them hun, let them pick what toppings they fancy, my son loves doing this with me and he is such a fussy eater.
here is the recipe I use.

    250g strong bread flour
    1tsp caster sugar
    0.5tsp salt
    1.5tsp dried yeast
    2tbsp veg oil
    200ml warm water

Pop the sugar, salt and yeast in the water, give it a stir and leave for a few mins whilst weighing the flour out, sift flour in bowl add the veg oil and water mix well, turn out on a flour surface and knead for 8 - 10 mins, pop it in a well oiled bowl and leave for 30 - 40 mins to rise, when well risen turn out on a floured surface, then roll out to desired shape and size....I always half mine so I get 2 pizzas per mix, !!!!! the base all over and pop in the oven for 5-8 mins I always cook my base but I suppose you don't have to just pop the topping on it raw.

    the toppings I use are
a tub of passata or tomato puree mix a few herbs and garlic powder in, spread it on the base and the cover in mozarella and cheddar cheese, peppers, pepperami, ham and pineapple or anything I have hanging round in the fridge that needs using up.

  • Try calling it spaghetti bread and letting them assemble their own on a split open baguette.

There are plenty of other quick and easy dinners that you could make. Why pizza?

Thanks for everyone's replies. Why do kids have to be so complicated eh?

  • We make pizza wheels, with the usual toppings plus pesto on puff pastry, rolled into a sausage, sliced and baked- the pastry puffs out into savoury cookies of deliciousness!

Or just give them bread and butter while you enjoy your pizza, a la whitewing ^^, or get their pizza-loving peers round for tea and take orders on a waiter's pad... works for mine.
