Time to destroy my debt

It is good like you say but absolutely correct it makes January the longest, skintest month in the world!

Well i haven't been very good at keeping this up to date!
I had a great weekend away with my partner and managed to stay in budget which was good. Resisted the shops!
Made it back home to my parents today so am relaxing and staying in today. Off out tonight for a few drinks though. Think I will stick to soft drinks tonight and save money for Xmas eve night out with alcohol!
Tomorrow I am going to sort out next months budget and work out exactly what needs to be spent and then allocate myself aome weekly pocket money!
Will post that budget once I have done it so I can guilt trip myself into sticking to it!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid
Credit card 2 = was - 3710.37 now - 3672.84 = 1%
Mortgage = was - 62980.21 now - 62,815.39. = 0.2% :mad:
Wedding fund = 2524.09/10000 = 25% saved0 -
Well I have finally looked at some numbers. Eek! Not too bad though. Unless I have missed something out.
So I have a few accounts. Current account that has all my spends in. Bills where all the money for my personal bills goes from. Car account where I put money in for petrol and for savings for car emergency s! And the joint account that I transfer money into every month for my half of the joint bills. Then we have a joint savings account for the wedding and I have a personal saving account that quite frankly is pathetic!
So this month after putting my money into the correct accounts I have left myself with £385 to last all of January. This gives me 77 a week until payday. Im aware that is a lot considering everything else is already taken care off. So I'm going to aim to only spend 50 a week or less! And then at the end of the month pay extra off the credit card. I already made a 200 payment off the credit card this morning. So need to update my sig. I'm desperate to get the first credit card to below 1000.
So for the next week the plan is to try and not spend any money and try and make some extra money!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid
Credit card 2 = was - 3710.37 now - 3672.84 = 1%
Mortgage = was - 62980.21 now - 62,815.39. = 0.2% :mad:

Well I woke this money and noticed that my direct debit for credit card number 2 went out so I thought I would update my signature and workout percentages. I pay nearly 40 a month off this credit card. And it works out at just 1%. Little depressed by that.
The sooner I get the first one paid off the sooner I can start to throw big money at the second one. Going to go and round down my current account and throw some extra money at the first one whilst I remember!
Today should be a no spend day for my current account. We are going to be driving home after Xmas visiting everyone and will need to do a food shop when we get in but that comes from the joint account. My plan is to try and save money from the joint account this month though because apparently our fence has completely blown down whilst we have been away this week and we need some spare money to sort that out. Although I'm looking forward to going home I'm dreading seeing the extent of the damage. Fingers crossed the dodgy roof tiles stayed put or I might have a tantrum later! Sometimes I wished we still rented!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid
Credit card 2 = was - 3710.37 now - 3672.84 = 1%
Mortgage = was - 62980.21 now - 62,815.39. = 0.2% :mad:

Every little helps. Good luck and well done on your progress todate

Well we made it home. The fence is down but is fixable. The roof tiles are still in place but the boiler has died. So no heating or hot water. Great! Repair man came out yesterday and we are now waiting for parts. Could be next weekend. My house is freezing! I have decided to look on the bright side and think about the money we will be saving on heating bills! Luckily the house insurance covers us for repairs so is free to fix.
So my plan for today.
Relist everything on ebay.
List 10 new things.
Tidy bedroom and kitchen.
Do 5 surveys.
Make spreadsheet to track spending.Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid
Credit card 2 = was - 3710.37 now - 3672.84 = 1%
Mortgage = was - 62980.21 now - 62,815.39. = 0.2% :mad:

Well I'm not going to lie I spent too much money over New Years. Went away for a few days in the end but I managed to be sensible. But hotel and petrol still had to be paid for.
So back to it.
I have managed to pay another 1% of the first credit card which is nice. Can see it going down slowly.
Haven't spent any money since New Year's Day which is good and I have listed loads on ebay so hopefully that will pay off.
Tomorrow I need t buy some new work trousers so hopefully will find some for cheap!
Happy new year to everyone!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid
Credit card 2 = was - 3710.37 now - 3672.84 = 1%

Glad to hear the fence is fixable, but sorry to hear about the boiler, that is a pain
Hopefully you have it back up and running now and you have heating and hot water again. At least its covered for repairs, which is good.
Did you manage to get new work trousers? I could be done with new work clothes too, but can't/don't want to spend too much.
