Time to destroy my debt

Well I have been reading diaries on here for ages and have finally decided to start my own. I'm hoping that having my debt in black and white will help me get rid of it. I have been in denial for months over it.
Tonight I finally sat down and worked out how much I owed and to be honest i was shocked. In my head I had it a grand less than that.
I will put all the figures into my signature.
The mortgage is a joint one with my partner but the debt is mine. It's not fair on him to help pay it off because I have had it for years and its not his fault.
So we are battling the mortgage together and I'm battling the credit card debt on my own. He is supportive though.
We are also saving for our wedding so that saving figure is is my signature as well.
I have decided to aim to pay off 400 a month as a minimum. Going to be a massive challenge. I'm going to put in 250 for wages and try and earn 150 elsewhere. Eek!! Have loads to ebay though.
Going to spend the week before payday just getting myself organised and trying to be good and have no spend days. Going to be hard!
Wish me luck!

Very best wishes. It will be great to start mid-Dec because you won't be adding to the debt with loads of frivolous spending.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Thank you!
Yeah Xmas is nearly all done. Just petrol and a weekend away to see a gig this weekend. But it's all budgeted for. Instead of buying my other half a present I got him gig tickets and a hotel so it should be a nice treat. He doesn't know yet either. Dead excited! However let gig for a while now that I'm saving money. Sad!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid

Well wedding is not till2015. So plenty of time to save. But would like to get the money together way before then so we can then focus on other areas of our lives!
Today my plan was to try and not spend any money. But then I realised I had promised to post the Xmas cards today. So going to aim for that to be my only expenditure today.Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid

I am jealous of your no spend day. I was cursing my partner this morning. Needed petrol after he had borrowed car. It's money that is already budgeted for though so don't feel too bad.
How was your driving lesson? Scary? Or fun?Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid

Well today is payday. Kinda. Get paid a week early for Xmas. S I have been good and transferred all the money into a different account. Will transfer it back on the proper pay day. I don't need it a week early.
I still have 150 left this month in the bank. My partner owes me another 20 and there is 20 in my wallet. So should def make it through the week!
I'm going to aim to pay another 100 off the credit card next week. So that gives me 90 to play with. On a normal week that would be way more than enough but I have a weekend away this weekend so will need spends and a night out with family on Xmas eve. Will just have to be tight! Will do me good!
I have also realised that this month is the first time in a long time I have not used my credit card. Feeling quite proud of that! I have made loads of random payments off it as well when I have rounded down my bank account each day. So will add that up tonight and see how much I have paid off this month.
Aiming for a no spend day again today. Petrol is in the car and I'm going no where near a shop. I hope!Credit card 1 = was - 1358.52 now - 1089.66 = 20% paid

We get paid early for xmas too - not til next Monday for us - it's a blessing and a curse as the extra money does come in handy for last minute bits and pieces but then you feel flush as you've had so little time since your last pay day and end up absolutely brassic by the end of Jan! I'm gonna try shoving my wage in a separate account as well this time and hope that helps a little
