Argos royally screwed me

Hello All, need some advice as I'am fuming!

I ordered a PS4 on friday ( website said in stock ) I ordered, payment was taken and I got a delivery date for today, great!

I rang up at 8pm as I did not receive my order, which they told me hasn't even left the warehouse because of stock issues ( i don't blame them, it is a hot item )

However, my anger was compounded when I found an ebay listing from argos selling 140 units today!! Am I being crazy or is selling more units and not fulfilling orders out of line?

Not to mention the fact it will take 7 days to refund money

    Argos Clearance and the Ebay unit are probably run completely separately to the main business so may have their own stock in which case, I don't see the problem

    This is very strange. There must be something odd about these PS4's as people are crying out for stock so I have no idea why they wouldn't be sold instore.

    Yes, it ended today.. I placed an order and was charged early friday morning ( 13th ) Was told it is in stock, up until I rang them at 8pm today

    The ps4 is rare as rocking horse sh... thats why. Only a few retailers got stock on friday, which is why Im so fuming that they can give their ebay unit 140 units for today, when they charged me on friday, told me it was in stock, expect delivery today and could not fulfil the order

    It's likely a totally different operation. Perhaps the Ebay outlet stock was ordered months ago and came in late. The timing is unfortunate but thats about all

    It does seem odd, the only thing I can suggest is that the outlet ones may have damaged packaging? That is usually the case with outlet stock.

    Because for *some* items they are very competitive on price, and I have always received excellent customer service from them.
