Aqua credit limits.

Hi.

I am hoping someone here might be able to give me a rough idea of how quickly Aqua raise your credit card limit, please. I have just been given a card with £250 limit to start, which I am assuming is pretty normal, but I am hoping to make a purchase that is £750 in April and was hoping to put as much as possible on the credit card.

edit - I should probably re-phrase that. I am hoping to save as much as possible by April but it likely that I will need to put as much as possible, of the £750, on the card!

Thanks
Mel x

  • It took me over a year to get from £250 to £850. I have always been repaying balance in full

I got mine in April/May and the starting limit was £250, it was then raised to £1050 in July and has stayed the same since. I think £1600 is the max limit.

    Aqua card since July.
    Cap1 card since April.

Paid in full every month. No increases on either yet for me.

  • I went from £250 in Feb to £1900 just a week ago, had 2 increases in between. I pay almost the full balance just before the statement is due & leave a very small balance on the card each month. Seems to have done the trick for me. Ive noticed many people on these forums who state they have had little or no credit limit increases tend to repay in full.

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

That must be costing you a fortune, no wonder they increase your credit limit they must be making hundreds of pounds out of you.
  • How so? If my balance is £10 at the time the statement is produced the interest charged is minute.
