Hi all
Need help please. To cut a long story short I order a Northface coat of a website, got an email after 3weeks chasing it to say out of stock and gave me a few choices to order a different one which I did. Still didn't arrive so chased again said problem with shipping address so I emailed to say cancel the order. Low and behold it arrived three days later but I had already ordered a different one from a different website. I emailed them back to explain this and they said it was already shipped before I cancelled which I can accept. I was gonna keep the coat until I opened it and realised the stitching around the collar was coming out.
Please can anyone tell me where I stand with this with regard to who covers the return shipping costs?
Thanks in advance

Which website? Are they a UK company? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Yes they are uk based in Halifax but the coat was posted from Hong Kong sun inn light cliff is the website.0

Well it may look like a uk address but if they are Chinese owned and operated then the goods will be fake and they will ask you to ship it back to them.
gmail address, poor english and cheap prices is all the hallmarks of Chinese fakes.0 -
from their returns policy
Now we offer return service within 7 days and quality warranty within 30 days. But my dear customers, you should pay the shipping fees, and the articles must be in original condition with original package.
Not seen that website before but it was only registered October 2013 with an address in New York, Hong Kong! (although they state they have been selling North Face since 2005)
If the item is fake I believe you can get into trouble if you send it through the mail.
Personally I would try and find out whether it is a genuine article and if not, would refuse to send it back and demand a refund0 -
I'm ragin now how stupid of me so cross with myself, I got my sis to look at it and she said straight away it looked fake. Have I got any ground to stand on if it's defo fake?0

How did you pay?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
