Hi just tried to redeem 3300 points accummilated over the years on my Trustcard at first they told me I could get 10% vouchers for Boots Argos etc... but then passed me through to another number inticing me to use up the available balance of my Credit Card buying discount vouchers for these stores, even when I complained to Customer Services they was still happy to try and sell me vouchers using my available balance.
It's a disgrace in this day and age how this can go on I bet there are people out there who have been tricked into using there available balance, when thayvthink they have redeemed points. MARTIN PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS!!!!!!!!! :money:

I might be misunderstanding this, but isn't that how the scheme works, i.e. you're buying vouchers at a discount? You use your points to reduce the cost of buying the vouchers, so to get, say, £100 worth of vouchers you use 100 points to get the 10% discount and it only costs £90 but you still have to spend the £90 using some form of payment....0

Yes i'm not quite sure where the "scam" here is either, I think, OP, that you've just misunderstood how these points work.
You can use points to get a 10% discount on buying vouchers for high street shops, and every 1 point gets you a 10% reduction on every £1 of vouchers.
So in your scenario if you phoned them up wanting to redeem 3300 points that means buying £3,300 worth of vouchers with a 10% discount meaning you need to pay them £2,970 to get £3,300 of vouchers, you do actually have to pay them that £2970 to get them.0 -
I don't see what the problem is, you can buy a £100 voucher for £90 ?
If you didn't like what's being offered, then why keep using the card?0 -

And so the long running hypothesis that all threads containing the word "scam" in the title turn out to be completely wrong, survives yet another test ;-)0
