I have produced a two page article in OpenOffic org. What I would like to do is to be able to give anyone a link to it. I know nothing about PDF files so if that's the route, perhaps someone would explain to me in easy to understand language please.

Where have you stored this document?
Thanks, but I think I may have just succeeded it. See what you think?.
I wrote it in Open Office > file >save > gave name > placed on desktop. Couldn't do anything with it, ie open it.
I then opened it again (in openoffice) > file > export as PDF > export , the name of it was highlighted in File name > saved to desktop and there it was. So now when I compose an email or make a post such as this, I can somehow include it, can I try, hope they won't mind. Whoops, I don't know which icon I can use to bring it here. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well, you can't yet, since it only exists as a PDF file on your desktopWhoops, I don't know which icon I can use to bring it here.
To be able to make it public you need upload it somewhere online and then you will be able to provide a URL link to that on-line copy
As it is, you can 'attach' a copy of that PDF file to an email and send to who you wish that way
Online options - there are many, could try setting up a dropbox or evernote account ( need to download their application)
A quick Google shows up others like : filedropper,fileserve,trueshare etc etc0 -

thanks, we might have lift-off.
Yesterday I set up a drop box account because I have a new samsung galaxy with drop box installed. I've learnt that photo's should be copied/made duplicate to send across, otherwise they disappear altogether.
I have sent the pdf to the dropbox, but don't know what to do next. I'm of the opinion that if I allow access, people see everything not just the document. Also, if anyone dosen't have drop box, they won't get to see it anyway, will they?, unlike a photo that either appears or has an url to click. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
