Cancun - Booking with a Palace Resort Member

I am currently looking into booking Cancun (maybe Feb/Mar 14). I have heard on Trip Advisor that booking through a Palace Resort member can save money on room prices. I have been looking at either Beach or Moon Palace.

Has anyone had any experience of booking in this way and can you provide any tips to getting the best deal?

No experience, but may be worth checking if the posters on TA are UK or US based. The hotel we've booked for next April (Excellence resorts) has different pricing for travellers from different countries. The price we've got from the UK is significantly (30%) lower than what someone from the states can get (as they have to compete with more destinations, e.g. The far east and we tend to stay longer due to the travel time.

Definitely worth checking as the saving may not be as good as it initially seems (or I could be completely wrong!)

Thanks for the reply. I have done a bit of further research and booking through a member gets certain benefits (room upgrade, airport transfers etc) and prices seem to be working out around the same as booking the basic room through Expedia.

Can I ask who you booked with?

We stayed at beach palace. Loved it!

The Holiday Place usually have good deals for the palace resorts, that's who we booked through.
Not sure about the member prices/upgrades etc

We booked with Blue Bay travel
