Hello,
Im hoping someone can advise me here, we have just bought a two bed new build which has a solar thermal system.
Got a email from ovo woodland engery trust stating I need to log on and submit metre readings, and my first dd of £93 will be taken December 23rd. Now when we switched they quoted £62pm dd.
I rang them for opening this morning to be told its standard practice to add 25% to winter bills and not include solar power till after taking metre readings every 2 months for first 6 months as a customer, I immediately asked to cancel transfer and was told this would incur £30 per service cancellation fee as I am out of my 7day cooling off and they have pre purchased my suplies.
So what im in need of is advice on what to do from here, it sounds like im over a barrel, be ripped off for 6 months or pay the cancellation fees. Any other options?

If you've got the money in the bank you won't be ripped off. If you build up a surplus OVO will pay 3% interest.0

If not, you will be in debt at the end of winter, as you haven't built any credit over the summer to carry through.
Wish my bank paid 3% interest. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
