    Hi everyone,

Had a lovely evening with DS and GF last night. She went off happily with her gifts - she knows what the main one is as I always get them a zoo membership. It's good value because they get entry to both Whipsnade and London Zoo, she loves the zoo and often says she'd like to be a zookeeper (she's a solicitor lol).

I need to go to MK to pick up the last of the gifts. DH is working from home today but he was up in the night so he's still in bed. I find it quite difficult to get on when he's at home but it's nice to have the company.

NPM, I'm glad Noah seems to be a bit better, I hope you have a lovely stress free Christmas.

    Morning everyone:hello:,
Just been sat catching up with everyones news from the last couple of days cos I've not had chance to get on the board at all.DGD stayed over on Friday, she slept all night through :jbut I couldnt switch off ;) and was awake a lot.We took her in town to see various Xmas sights then up to DS2s to see baby DGS,who is much better now after his bronchiolitis and then swimming with DGD.
All that left me just time to walk the pup and get ready for our night out in Manchester with 2 other couples. It was hectic
We had a lovely meal, then the taxi we'd booked rang to say they were struggling and it would be a quarter to 1 .We decided to cut our losses and use our return train tickets at 9.30 and just finish with a drink in our local town and get a small minibus from our usual taxi firm, which we did and we were home at a decent time.
More shopping yesterday, and this morning I'm off to return a top that is the wrong size.
    Eyesight must be going!

Right better take the hound out.

    TTFTM,glad its your last week.
    HH- mad on your behalf,
    Lots of love RR x

  • Morning all,
I am in the middle of cleaning the house, but of course I have got bored!

Had a pretty good weekend, DH and I went christmas present shopping yesterday but didn't get much, so I shall be off to town tomorrow to try again. Trouble is the kids and their partners don't know what they want so they shall be getting mainly money. It's the token present that is causing me problems!

Last week of work before we break up and I hadn't realised we finish so close to Christmas day!

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all,

    Grey here, but mild.

Today I must batter on with Christmas sorting out - putting away my ornaments so the Christmas bits can go out in their place, moving a few bits of furniture around and catching up on some DIY.

I've got a T*sco delivery coming tomorrow, I need to go to Ic*l*nd for 4 items and then it's just bread & veg topping up until the end of the month.

DH is taking Thursday off and we'll scamper round doing the exciting things like going to the tip, the CS and under the stairs to deal with the shoe monsters!

Dinner tonight is something made with the bits of chicken I found in the freezer.

Hester, 'pro-active' in the school I worked in could be defined as making suggestions about perceived problems in an enthusiastic, loud, smiley manner - even if the suggestions were clearly unworkable. It was difficult to maintain the innocent expression while spouting tosh, but it ticked the boxes.

    Hugs all round x

    Good morning everyone

What a wet and cold morning here today. Never mind, I am going to stay home and tidy up so at least I will stay dry unlike my poor hubby and girls who would have got drenched on the way to work/school. The girls have asked for umbrellas but it is so windy up where we live that every brolly I've owned has been battered to death!

My dog was very funny this morning, I was sat in the dining room on the computer when he came in and stared very hard at me then looked at the living room and then stared at me again. I could tell he was trying to tell me something so I followed him into the living room to find evil kitten dismembering the christmas tree . I love that he grassed up the kitty :rotfl::rotfl:. He will get a nice piece of jerky later :D.

I had a very busy weekend with carol service and shopping etc so I'm quite tired out and a bit out of sorts. I am not finding the sad lamp to be of much use really. Oh well, will just keep taking the meds! I'm so looking forward to the girls breaking up and hubby finishing work for a couple of weeks. We are all tired now and need a rest.

Not sure what to do for tea yet, I think it will probably be a pie of some description. I'm trying to empty my freezer before the christmas shopping gets delivered on Saturday. I've not gone mad but there are a few extra bits to put away. It doesn't help that there is an enormous turkey taking up loads of room in the chest freezer. Once that's out for defrosting there will be a lot more space in there.

Well that's all my waffle for now, hope everyone manages to have a good day despite the fact that a) it's Monday and b) the weather is horrible. Take care and as always, gentle hugs for all who would like one.
    Cheers m'dears x

TTFTM - a bit of a bitter sweet week for you I'm sure, don't grin too much. ;)
JackieO - lovely to hear about your young neighbours, that really touched me that they offered to be helpful if needed. Maybe they are buttering you up to be a babysitter lol

Off out shortly to visit another SIL and BIL. Getting round everyone quite well.

Now will I stop off with Judi on Thursday on the way home? Lol

Have a good day everyone

    Afternoon,

Frog and I have been to Mr T's this morning and then at 3pm she has a Christmas party at her nursery which will keep us entertained for an hour or so.

Washing machine has been on and now the dishwasher as DH forgot to set it off last night. I dare say the WM will be on again when Frog has gone to bed :o

Not much else to report, hope you all have a good day xx
