Antigua

I'm tasked with organising a jolly to Antigua next March. It could be AI or a flight and hotel/accomodation booked separately.
I'd be grateful for any input about where's the best area to stay, which resort, which travel company, which is the best bar or restaurant.
Anything and everything basically.
Thanks in advance.

My husband & I married in Antigua in 2009. We booked through Virgin who gave a discount for the number of us flying. We stayed at Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts which shares it's beachfront with the Sandals resort... We couldn't fault the hotel, staff or holiday! Enjoy :-)

If you do go, Adventure Antigua do an awesome fast boat day trip, we have done it twice.

Been years since I went there, but we stayed a couple of times at the "Jolly Beach". Looks so expensive now from the mid 80's, but was good when we stayed there. Everywhere has gone crazy on pricing.

Funnily enough that's the resort I'm looking at.
Some TA reviews suggest it's beginning to look a little dated although I don't particularly mind that.
It's coming out cheaper than Jolly Beach which I thought was the cheap one.
  • Fast boat day trip is great to enjoy over there. I not sure about the staying prices but you can find and compare deals online. Also try to hire car to travel in city.
