Does living near a river whack up home insurance?

I've seen a new build which is on the Riverside - River Calder. It's only started building since July so nothing is available for me to get a quote on. My query is will this whack up my insurance premium due to potential flooding hazards. If so anything I can do to get this down? Or how far/metres away do I have to be before it doesn't effect of?

Yes as risk of floodDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I'm less than 300m from a small brook which floods every time there is heavy rain, but although a few insurers won't quote, I still don't find a problem getting insurance, presumably because no homes in the area have ever been flooded, due to the slope of the land.
I'd just advise reading the assumptions and conditions on any insurance website or offer very carefully. You may find they assume certain things about distance from water, without actually asking them.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
