Hi,

I have bought a new laptop and it is asking for office product key.

Where can I find this on my old laptop?

Many Thanks,

Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your old laptop?

At a guess you have a trial version installed on your new laptop and the trial period has now expired.

Depending on what version you have on your old laptop, if you don't have the original disc and/or prouct key - this program might find it - http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

The product key will only work for the version you had installed on your old laptop - your new laptop will likely have a newer version (trial) installed. If you do have your old disc, you could uninstall the trial version (or buy it!) and re-install from the cd

Otherwise, try downloading libre office which has similar functionality and is (mostly) compatible with MS Office, and it's free.

Yes I have an old version 2007 which I have installed on the new laptop. I have lost product key, I believe it is stored somewhere on the old PC?

I need to use existing XL files, so a.n.other Microsoft lookalike program is not suitable.

MagicJellyBean is not what it used to be.

Take care, It now installs a load of carp alongside the main program. No option to avoid the unwanted stuff..
    Move along, nothing to see.
