Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your old laptop?
At a guess you have a trial version installed on your new laptop and the trial period has now expired. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Depending on what version you have on your old laptop, if you don't have the original disc and/or prouct key - this program might find it - http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/
The product key will only work for the version you had installed on your old laptop - your new laptop will likely have a newer version (trial) installed. If you do have your old disc, you could uninstall the trial version (or buy it!) and re-install from the cd
Otherwise, try downloading libre office which has similar functionality and is (mostly) compatible with MS Office, and it's free.0 -
Yes I have an old version 2007 which I have installed on the new laptop. I have lost product key, I believe it is stored somewhere on the old PC?
I need to use existing XL files, so a.n.other Microsoft lookalike program is not suitable."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

MagicJellyBean is not what it used to be.
Take care, It now installs a load of carp alongside the main program. No option to avoid the unwanted stuff..Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Magic Jelly Bean worked for me. Many Thanks."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Now run Malwarebytes and Ccleaner to get rid of the rubbish you have downloaded.0
