Holland and Barratt

I recently made an online purchase with Holland and Barratt for approximately £52, I payed by credit card and the money was taken 24 hours later.
When the parcel hadn't turned up 7 days later, I queried with H&B why it was taking so long to deliver to be told that the parcel had been sent to my house and gave a time and date when it was signed for and did I still want to query why the parcel was missing?
I sent a reply stating I did.
Looking at H&B's website they use Hermes and I know my local Hermes delivery guy is useless, wrong parcels to wrong addresses. signing himself and leaving on the doorstep with no calling card etc.
I was home at the time and date given for delivery and know there was no attempted delivery.
I'm still waiting for a reply from Holland and Barratt but does anyone know my rights here?
I still want the goods I've ordered and payed for.
Thanks, Mark

Your rights are that H&B are still to fulfil the contract. It is THEIR responsibility to ensure the parcel is delivered to the correct address. If worst comes to worst you should be able to initiate a chargeback against your credit card for non-delivery of goods (if they haven't arrived after 15 days from date of order and H&B play silly beggars).0

It may complicate your chargeback if they use the signature as proof of delivery.
However ultimately, that signature is never going to match yours if it wasn't you that signed it. Have they sent you a copy of the signature to see if you recognise it? Was it signed in your name or someone elses? If they haven't, that's probably going to be their next step. You keep using that word. They havn't sent me a copy of the signature or said what name it says. Maybe that will follow then.0 -
Point of delivery is the house not the person so anyone at the house can take delivery.
What they will say is that it was delivered to someone at the house, you will struggle with this if they stick to their guns, a chargecack wont work for this reason.0 -

The parcel was not delivered to anyone at the address, I was home with my 19 month old son at the time, my wife was in work, my daughter in school. I live in a very quiet street where you always hear every van/ car pull up etc. There was no attempted delivery.
I have messaged Holland and Barratt asking for an update, as they have not replied to me with any more details or proof of delivery.0 -
Update
Holland and Barratt have now offered a refund or replacement of what never turned up, no mention of signatures now.
Thanks,
