Debenhams Credit Card Point Dramas

Apologies if I am posting in the wrong section. Moderators feel free to put itin the right category:

I made a few purchases in Novemeber at Debenhams. They had an offer on of "spend £40 on your Debenhams credit card and get 500 points". This equates to a £5 voucher which is normally sent with the credit card statement. The terms and conditons said "one set of 500 points per day per customer". So I made 4 different purchases of over £40 paying with my Debenhams credit card on 4 consecutive days. Each time I made the purchase, I confirmed with the sales assistant the offer and they told me the 500 credit card points would come with my next statement.

I got my December statement and there are no vouchers for £20 nor have I been given the 2000 points either.

I telephoned Debenhams customer service explaining myself and they said I should contact Santander as they deal with the credit card and any promotions. So I telephoned Santander who checked on their system, could not see any promotions and said it was nothing to do with them, and that I should contact Debenhams. So I contacted Debenhams again again via email and have now been told to contact Santander yet again.

I am getting a bit bored of the to-ing and fro-ing. I can't return the items as they were all Xmas gifts and have been handed out to people.

What do I do? Carry on to-ing and fro-ing? Do I have any rights? I am sick of being passed from pillar to post. Why do companies have these promotions if they don't honour them?

HELP!!!

Was there anything in the T&Cs about when the points would be applied? Something like 'within x days of purchase'?

I didn't actually check that, but 4 different staff told me the points would be in the December statement. I guess I could chase it up with the store maybe?

I just googled and one offer says points can take up to six weeks and will be in your January statement
