This is actually on behalf of my brother in Canada.
Replies please using simple instructions.:o
Right he was off line for over a week(in hospital), laptop was shutdown. So he went back online yesterday for the first time and Skype asked him to upgrade(Windows 7 laptop just over a year old. No idea of model its an HP), shows it downloaded okay. But he cannot get onto Skype at all. He had a problem the last upgrade some months back and had to resign in. I am on Windows8 and had the upgrade no problems did not even have to sign in again.
Can anyone please help????
I have tried reading the Skype forum and they tell others to check the firewall etc. He has Norton and had no problems with it and using Skype before the upgrade.

Your best bet might be to post screenprints of exactly how far he gets before he cannot start Skype on that more specialist forum. An uninstall of Skype + reinstall usually fixes things.0

As above, much quicker to uninstall, download and reinstall the program, than mess about.No free lunch, and no free laptop
