Student in the usa, Need help with site while in USA

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I will be in the USA for the next year and was wondering if there was a way to use anything to my benefit since i will be in the USA. For instance I cannot use the amazon deal finder cause it links to my default amazon.uk. Will this not work on the american site?

Bad example. Most of the deals finder functions are just filters applied to a normal Amazon search. No reason you can't go straight to the Amazon page and search yourself.
The % discount finder is a con most of the time anyway. Anyone who claims the price of a cd is £100 then tries to sell it at 90% off is just taking the !!!!!!. If you really want to search for these discounts there are plenty of other sites which do the same thing such as http://tjshome.com/greatdeals.php which works both here & in the U.S.
Use another well known U.S site (Google) and you'll probably find sites that do a similar job over there for most of MSE's stuff.0
