Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Greta price OP but it would be remiss of me not to mention the Nook HD+ 16GB 9" tablet at a ridiculous £129. This tablet has a full HD screen and, imo crucially, Google Play access. It really is imo the current tablet bargain on the market. Understandably getting hard to find in stock at the moment, though

Also available for store collection at Argos (if you are lucky!)

Yes, and one of the (imo) many advantages of the Nook over the Kindle - now they have allowed Google Play Store access you aren't confined to the 'walled garden' a la Amazon's tablet. And I always regretted getting a 7" tablet (Samsung Tab 2) because the screen just isn't big enough for browsing comfortably etc. But I always thought 10" was too big so the 9" Nook is a great compromise between size and portability/weight. It really is an unbelievable bargain.
Edit: now back in stock at John Lewis, who give a 2 year warranty as standard!

The Nook HD doesn't have a camera, and be careful as the Kindle Fire doesn't either, whereas the Kindle Fire HD does!
This artical is quite useful:

PS If you get a Kindle Fire, you will need to download the free Speaker Boost app if you want decent sound!Any information given in my posts or replies is intended to be of interest and/or help to members of the forum. I cannot guarantee that this is accurate or up to date.0
