Hi
Having just bought the 8gb Kindle Fire 7" £99 at Argos, I see today (Sun 15th Dec) that they are promoting the 16gb version at £99 down from £169!
However......it is not available in my 10 nearest stores for pick up and the offer ends on 17th December.
Anyone get one at this price?
Also wondering if I could swap my unopened 8gb model for the 16gb!?

Wood Green, Tottenham Hale, Harlesden & Cricklewood are showing stock.
Nothing closer than 50miles from me.
Good Luck !0 -

Although hard to work out, I think this is the old version 16gb Kindle Fire they are selling off cheap and therefore the new 8gb Kindle Fire they had at £99 a few weeks ago (now £119) will probably be a better specified tablet!?

Is there a way to tell, you are allowed to ask to view an item so that could be a way to check but I wouldn't know what I was looking for.0 -
lots of stock around the newcastle area by the looks - nothing within 40 miles of me though.0

But is it really going to be much different, unless you're a real techy geek (bloke). My laptop has packed up and my eyes are struggling on my phone so I thought this might be something new to try at a reasonable price? Bit mean not including a mains charger in the price I thought.

Thanks for this great spot OP, I bit the bullet and picked one up today from North London.
Vigman, thanks for the link, far too techy for me, but i'll sent it to my dad and see if he can help me work out which is the right case to order with it. all the pretty pink and purple girly ones in Argos were sold out.

I picked up a case from Poundland on Monday. Very good value for a quid.0
